English is a foreign language that taught in every grade in Indonesian school, one is in the junior high school. Teaching English for junior high school needs interest teaching technique to make students easy to learning English. Reading is a complex skill, because it’s require comprehension and must be taught in English. But in the fact there are many students doesn’t like studies English caused by the teaching technique isn’t interesting to follow. From the problem above, the researcher attracted to make a research teaching reading descriptive text using reciprocal teaching technique (RT). In this technique the researcher wants to know how is the implementation of reciprocal teaching technique in teaching reading of descriptive text and how are the student’s responses in using reciprocal teaching technique in learning reading comprehension. Research method in this study is descriptive qualitative which is used instrument, observation field notes and student’s questionnaire. From the research, the researcher conclude reciprocal teaching technique can be used in teaching reading descriptive text and using this technique make the students more interest in teaching reading and make student more active in study foreign language.
