One of the objectives of the teaching English in Senior High School in the Tenth graders is the students are expected to be able to write. The most of the students are writing. The major problem that is commonly faced by the student in writing is afraid of making mistakes and having lack of confidence. Related to the explanation above, the researcher is interested in conducting a research which is entitled “The Use of Animation Movie “The Croods” in Teaching Writing Narrative Text at Tenth Grade of SMK Antartika 1 Sidoarjo This research is conducted to find out and describe the authentic implementation” of Animation Movie in teaching writing to the Tenth Grade of SMK Antartika 1 Sidoarjo and to describe the student’s responses after learning writing English using Animation Movie to the Tenth grade of SMK Antartika 1 Sidoarjo.
In analyzing the data, the researcher used descriptive qualitative. The subjects of this research are the teacher and the thirty one there students for the tenth graders of SMK Antartika 1 Sidoarjo. The researcher used three instruments are Observation Field Note, Quisitionnare, and Writing Task. In finding of the research Animation Movie is a Media to teach and make the students more active and more spirit to develop in students writing ability. The responses have two responses, there were positive and negative responses.
Based on this data, the researcher concludes that the teaching writing Using Animation Movie is good Media to encourage students to write up. From the student’s responses base on Table Scsore of writing skill that can be seen the majority students more interest to study , especially for Teaching Writing Narrative Text use Animation Movie was an effective way to teach and generate their ideas in writing whether individually or group.
