Nowadays, Education is not only obtained through schools or books, education can
also be obtained through the films. Everyone can learn anytime, anywhere through
different media. As already known by many people today, many teachers show
films during their lessons to increase students' understanding of the material being
taught. This research aims to describe the educational values found in “The Ron
Clark Story” movie. The object in this study was the characters in “The Ron Clark
Story” Movie. This research was descriptive qualitative research. This research data
was obtained from analyzing a movie script by selecting utterances that contained
educational values. The research instruments in this study were researcher herself,
document (movie script), and the educational values theory by KEMENDIKNAS.
Based on the analysis conducted by the researcher, there were 9 educational values
contained in "The Ron Clark Story" movie, namely honesty, discipline, sociality,
creativity, hardworking, hospitality, tolerance, democracy, and appreciating
achievement.
