43 hlm Problem in this research based on personal experiences students found difficult in writing descriptive text .The statement of problem(1) How is the teacher implementation of teaching writing descriptive text by using Movie of MTs NU Candi-Sidoarjo?(2) How are students responds on teaching writing descriptive text by using Movie of MTs NU Candi-Sidoarjo?.This study is a descriptive qualitative research; therefore the data are analyzed qualitative. The writer conducted the observation throughout the teaching learning activity in the eighth grade of MTs NU Candi-Sidoarjo .Beside the researcher himself, the researcher used observation field note and close-ended students questionnaire as the instrument of the study. Observation field note was used to know teaching learning activity done by the English teacher in teaching descriptive text using movie. Beside close ended students questionnaire sheet is also used to know the responses of the students writing. Result finding of questionnaire is 81% students chosen “yes”, 19% students chosen “no”. After the data gathered, the researcher analyzed the data. The result showed that English movie could make students interest in writing and they were able to create their idea into simple writing, however the interesting and understandable movie make students exiting and focus learning material .the researcher suggest that in applying it, the selection of movie should deal with our goal in the teaching –learning process of descriptive text.
