75 hlm, Silabus, RPP Teaching English in junior high school need interesting teaching technique to make students easy to learning English. Speaking skill is the important skill that must be taught to the junior high school students but there were many students that less like to learning English especially speaking because the technique that used by teacher in teaching speaking is not interesting. The background leads the researcher to conduct a study about teaching speaking descriptive text using describe and draw technique. This study aims to describe how is the teaching learning process in teaching speaking descriptive text using describe and draw technique and how is the students’ cognitive and behavior responses in teaching speaking descriptive text using describe and draw technique. The observation is done for the eighth grade E class students in SMP PGRI 10 Candi. The amount of students in the class is 38 students. The researcher use descriptive qualitative research design to observe and the instruments to collect the data are observation field note, students’ assessment, students’ questionnaire, and interview guide. From the observation the researcher concluded that describe and draw technique could be used in teaching speaking descriptive text for the eighth grade students and the students could describe something orally more easily. Moreover, this technique could motivate students in speaking English.
