The research explains about teaching speaking using movie to tenth graders students. Speaking is important skill, speaking, has been officially as a foreign language which is first from elementary school until university level and speaking for students in Indonesia start learning for elementary or junior high school about basic and English also on of lesson that examined in national examination. In this thesis there are two purposes study, that is a 1) How does the teacher teach speaking using movie to tenth grade students and 2) how are the students’ responses on the use teaching speaking using movie to tenth grade students’ in SMA PGRI 1 SIDOARJO, especially class X 1 IPS which the researcher have chosen for observation. The researcher used Descriptive Qualitative method. The researcher used to two instrument to get the data. First, the researcher uses Observation Checklist to observe teaching speaking using movie. The second, the researcher used Questionnaire to observe students’ responses use teaching speaking using movie. The researcher used two meetings to observation in SMA PGRI 1 SIDOARJO that is Friday and Monday. So the researcher, used storytelling to study English make a students was not bored and the strategy it help them to speak and make the students better in speaking English, also gave argument in the classroom and this way can help students' confidence in story retelling better and not make student’s worried. From the analysis the students found that the average students from students’ responses the students answered yes 87.5%% and the students answered no 12.5%.
